Basketball Recap: Desert View Comes Up Short

Desert View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 76-65 to the Maricopa Rams.

Despite the loss, Desert View still got an impressive performance from Xaime Reyes, who posted 23 points. Robert Medrano was another key player, putting up eight points and ten rebounds.

Maricopa's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Kylend Suon, who went 12 of 20 on his way to 28 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ruben White, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 17 boards.

Desert View's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Maricopa, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-4.

Desert View and Poston Butte will round out the year against one another at at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th. As for Maricopa, they will face off against Walden Grove at 2:45 p.m. on December 27th. One thing working in Maricopa's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last four games.
