Baseball Game Preview: Tarrant Wildcats vs. Fairfield Tigers

A feisty cat fight will be fought as the Wildcats take on the Tigers at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tarrant has now lost 26 straight dating back to last season, leaving the team hunting for their first win since the 16th.

Tarrant came up short against Fairfield on Friday, falling 17-3.

For Fairfield's part, Cedarian Clemon made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, tossing two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Clemon was also big at the plate, scoring a run.

In other batting news, Sterland Pollard was a standout: he got on base in all three of his plate appearances with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in RBI. Alhaj Butler was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.

Fairfield always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .800. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .567 or higher in four consecutive games dating back to last season.
