Baseball Recap: South Caldwell Spartans vs. Alexander Central Cougars

South Caldwell was red-hot at the plate headed into the contest (they scored no less than ten runs in the three matches prior) but Alexander Central's pitchers proved too tough.
For Alexander Central's part, they got a great performance from Grayson Anderson as he tossed 5.1 innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits. Anderson has been consistent recently: he hasn't pitched less than five innings in three consecutive pitching appearances.
At the plate, Jaret Hoppes was a standout: he scored three runs while going 3-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Sawyer Chapman-Mays, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-4.
