The Lighthouse Christian Lions will square off against Knowledge Academies at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Lighthouse Christian knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 13 matches -- so hopefully Knowledge Academies likes a good challenge.
On Tuesday, everything went Lighthouse Christian's way against Highland Rim Academy as Lighthouse Christian made off with an 82-56 win. The Lions have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

Lighthouse Christian's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Lucas Haymer, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 11 boards. Haymer is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least eight every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kolby Matthews, who went 8 of 14 on his way to 18 points.
Meanwhile, Knowledge Academies was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. The game between them and Tennessee Heat didn't end well, with Knowledge Academies falling 67-53. While losing is never fun, Knowledge Academies can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Tennessee basketball rankings (they are ranked 340th, while Tennessee Heat is ranked 78th).
Lighthouse Christian will have to keep a close watch on Sylvainus Cole Iv and Travis Campbell, a pair of players who had a big impact on Knowledge Academies' prior game. Cole Iv went 5 of 10 on his way to 22 points, while Campbell posted 18 points and six rebounds. Campbell is trending in the right direction considering he's improved his point production for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Marcus Amos, who had five points.
Lighthouse Christian's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-3. They've dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 23 points. As for Knowledge Academies, their loss dropped their record down to 4-7.
Thursday's matchup is shaping up to be a masterclass in shooting: Lighthouse Christian has been dynamite from deep this season, having made 38.5% of their three-pointers per game. However, it's not like Knowledge Academies struggles in that department as they've made 37.8% of their three-pointers this season. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Lighthouse Christian couldn't quite finish off Knowledge Academies in their previous meeting back in November of 2024 and fell 59-57. Can Lighthouse Christian avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
