Baseball Recap: Manistique Comes Up Short

Manistique lost to Coleman back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Saturday. The Emeralds came up short against the Cougars, falling 19-1.

Manistique saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Luke Benish, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI. Mack Pugh also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Manistique's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Coleman, their victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-5.

While Manistique had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
