Basketball Recap: Dublin Jerome Comes Up Short

Dublin Jerome lost against Thomas Worthington back in January, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Dublin Jerome Celtics took a 66-52 bruising from the Thomas Worthington CARDINALS. While losing is never fun, the Celtics can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 498th, while the CARDINALS are ranked 246th).

Dublin Jerome dropped their record down to 3-19 with the defeat, which was their eighth straight on the road. As for Thomas Worthington, their record is now 10-12.

The two teams are set to take part in some playoff action in their next matches. Dublin Jerome is taking a road trip to square off against Reynoldsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Reynoldsburg's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last 11 games. As for Thomas Worthington, they will square off against Westerville Central at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Thomas Worthington knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past seven contests -- so hopefully Westerville Central likes a good challenge.
