Whitehouse had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Lufkin Panthers a 10-0 shutout. The Wildcats not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since February 26th (when they won 15-5).

The team relied heavily on Analee Becerra, who fired off two home runs and seven RBI while going 2-for-3. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Ohlsen, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.

Whitehouse's win bumped their record up to 15-6. As for Lufkin, their loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 3-1 and their overall record down to 8-13.

Coincidentally, Whitehouse and Lufkin will both be playing Nacogdoches the next time they take the field. The Panthers will host the Dragons at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, while the Wildcats will head out to face them at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
