Basketball Recap: Northside Baptist Christian Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Northside Baptist Christian, who bounced back after a loss on the road back in December of 2024. They strolled past the Egyptian Pharaohs with points to spare on Tuesday, taking the game 51-36. This was a revenge game for the Lions: when they faced off against the Pharaohs back in December of 2024, they had to take a 72-55 defeat.

Despite the loss, Egyptian still got an impressive performance from Damarion Clark, who posted 22 points. That was a full 61.1% of Egyptian's points, marking the third time in a row he's put up more than a third of the team's points. Will Lessar was another key player, putting up four points and ten rebounds.

The victory got Northside Baptist Christian back to even at 1-1. As for Egyptian, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 6-12 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Northside Baptist Christian will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Joppa-Maple Grove at 6:00 p.m. on February 13th.
