While Herscher's  victory against Reed-Custer wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Tigers had just enough and edged out the Comets  3-2. The  win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Comets: they've now won nine in a row.
 Anistin Hackley made a big impact no matter where she played. She  didn't allow a single  earned run over seven innings pitched. Hackley was also solid in the batter's box,  going 1-for-3 with one  home run and two  RBI. That  home run marked the first that  she has  launched this season.
 Hackley wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Keira Ahramovich, who  went 2-for-3 with one  run and one  double.  Pippa Dunnill also deserves some recognition as  she  hit her first  triple of the season.
Herscher's record now sits at 11-5. As for Reed-Custer, they have  been struggling recently as they've  lost three of their last four matchups. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-7 record  this season.
Herscher will have a chance to go back-to-back against Reed-Custer: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled  at 4:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
