Baseball Recap: Dr. Krop Comes Up Short

Dr. Krop suffered their closest loss since April 18, 2024 on Tuesday. They fell just short of the Flanagan Falcons by a score of 6-4. If the Lightning were looking for revenge after losing 16-0 to the Falcons when the teams met back in April of 2022, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ryan Pena was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with three RBI and one double. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in hits. The team also got some help courtesy of Esaul Pena, who scored a run while going 3-for-4.

Dr. Krop is on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-9. As for Flanagan, their victory bumped their record up to 5-10.

Coming up, Dr. Krop will take on American at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Flanagan, it'll be a Battle of the Birds when Flanagan Falcons face off against Stoneman Douglas Eagles at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The last four games they have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.
