Basketball Game Preview: Kaufman Lions vs. Terrell Tigers

A feisty cat fight is on tap when the Kaufman Lions duke it out with the Terrell Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday... Kaufman will be strutting in after a win while Terrell will be coming in after a defeat.

Kaufman will bounce into Friday's match after beating Crandall, who they had gone 2-7 against in their nine prior meetings. Kaufman managed a 44-40 victory over Crandall on Tuesday. The score was all tied up 19-19 at the break, but the Lions were the better team in the second half.

Meanwhile, Terrell played a tough contest on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Midlothian Heritage and fell 72-21. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 658th, while the Jaguars are ranked 134th).

The win made it two in a row for Kaufman and bumps their season record up to 21-8. As for Terrell, they have also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 13-19 record this season.

Kaufman strolled past Terrell when the teams last played on January 7th by a score of 52-34. The rematch might be a little tougher for Kaufman since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
