St. Mary's Dominican came tearing into Tuesday's contest with 13 straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Chalmette Owls. That's more bragging rights for St. Mary's Dominican, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant St. Mary's Dominican was: they took every set by at least 13 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-7, 25-11, 25-12.

Leading St. Mary's Dominican to victory were Aurore Tortorich and Ella Baker. Tortorich had 11 digs and four assists, while Baker had three digs and two aces. KK LaGraize also deserves some recognition as she had her first dig of the season.

St. Mary's Dominican's record is now 21-1. As for Chalmette, their defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 10-11.
