Basketball Recap: Yavneh Academy Starts off Right with Win over Harvest Christian Academy

Yavneh Academy took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Harvest Christian Academy Saints 61-29. The matchup was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point the Bulldogs had established a 20-point advantage.

Jordyn Spalding was nothing short of spectacular: she shot 45% from the field en route to 24 points in addition to eight rebounds and six assists. Her big performance that evening made it four games in a row in which she has scored at least 16 points. Another player making a difference was Lily Rael, who posted 18 points and six boards.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Yavneh Academy is headed away from home for the first time to square off against Bishop Gorman at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Harvest Christian Academy, they will head out to challenge Fellowship Academy at 6:00 p.m. on the 20th.
