Weaver extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Jameire Haughton. The Beavers narrowly escaped with a win as the team sidled past the CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy] Eagles 28-26 with plenty of help from Haughton, who rushed for 100 yards and two touchdowns on only 11 carries. He didn't just play on offense: he also forced one fumble, made four total tackles, and defended two passes.

Jaiden Booth was another key player, gaining 155 total yards and a touchdown. He got the majority of those receiving yards when he pulled down a pass and took off for a gain of 65 yards.

Weaver's record is now 6-2. As for CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy], their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 5-4.

Looking ahead, Weaver will welcome Ellington at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. That game will pit two of the most dominant signal callers against one another: Kadain Claflin-Coy and Aaron Ladr. As for CREC [Computer Science and Engineering/Academy], they will head out on the road to square off against Capital Prep/Achievement First at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. The Eagles will be up against the Trailblazers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 40.6 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance.
