Softball Recap: Antwerp Archers vs. Wauseon Indians
Antwerp fell victim to Wauseon and their airtight pitching crew on Friday. They suffered a rough 16-0 defeat at the hands of the Wauseon Indians. Antwerp was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Wauseon apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2023.
For Wauseon's part, they got a great performance from Madisyn Ledyard as she didn't allow a single earned run and only one hit while striking out nine over five innings pitched.
On the hitting side, Wauseon let Aubrianna Everly and Kylerr Bronson loose on the outfield. Everly scored three runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances, while Bronson went 4-for-4 with three runs, a triple, and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Bella McGuire, who scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
