Basketball Game Preview: Line Mountain Eagles vs. East Juniata Tigers

Line Mountain and East Juniata are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2018, but not for long. The Line Mountain Eagles will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the East Juniata Tigers at 7:30 p.m. The timing is sure in Line Mountain's favor as the squad sits on five straight wins at home while East Juniata has been banged up by three consecutive losses on the road.

Line Mountain easily dispatched Newport on Thursday, but unfortunately both the margin and the ultimate result were a different story in this one. Line Mountain fell just short of Greenwood by a score of 41-39 on Monday.

Meanwhile, East Juniata came up short against Susquenita on Monday and fell 76-63. While losing is never fun, the Tigers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 624th, while the Blackhawks are ranked 307th).

East Juniata's loss dropped their record down to 3-10. As for Line Mountain, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Line Mountain strolled past East Juniata in their previous matchup back in January of 2024 by a score of 56-40. Will Line Mountain repeat their success, or does East Juniata have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
