National powers No. 3 Oak Hill Academy (Mouth of Wilson, Va.) and No. 11 Paul VI (Fairfax, Va.) used stifling defense Friday night to edge out defending state champions and advance to Saturday's Bass Pro Shops Tournament of Champions title game.

The Warriors moved to 11-0 all-time in event, taking down Vashon (St. Louis, Mo.) 56-51 at JQH Arena on the campus of Missouri State University. They never trailed, although the Wolverines kept things close throughout and trailed by three with under two minutes to go.

Kentucky pledge Cam'ron Fletcher of Vashon led all players with 28 points and 13 rebounds, but didn't get enough production from his supporting cast as no other Wolverine hit double figures.

LSU signee Cam Thomas led the Warriors with 20 points, six rebounds and four steals while Virginia Tech Darius Maddox signee was the only other Oak Hill player in double figures with 13 points.

Oak Hill Academy held Vashon to 21-of-66 from the field and 5-of-20 from 3-point range.

In the second semifinal, Paul VI used a strong second half to pull away for a 74-60 win over Washington (Tulsa, Okla.).

Trevor Keels led the way with 25 points and 16 rebounds for the Panthers while Duke signee Jeremy Roach chipped in 17 points, 16 in the second half.

Kansas 5-star pledge Bryce Thompson finished with a team-high 22 points for the Hornets and big man Jalen Breath chipped in 14 points despite battling foul trouble.

The Hornets struggled to make shots with consistency against a tough Panthers defense, shooting 20-of-52 from the field and 5-of-19 from range in the loss.
