Recap: Bell Blue Raiders vs. Deer Park Deer
On Friday, Bell suffered a rough 62-41 defeat at the hands of Deer Park. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Bell has scored all season.
Despite the loss, Bell saw an underclassman step up: Gavin Roberson scored 12 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Roberson has scored all season.
Bell has been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last seven games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-8 record this season. As for Deer Park, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 12-6 record this season.
Bell will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Alief Hastings at 11:00 a.m. on December 9th. Hopefully Alief Hastings focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 15 on Friday. Deer Park won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Clear Brook at 11:00 a.m. on December 9th. Clear Brook will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Texas Rankings (they are ranked 700th, while Deer Park is ranked 275th).
