Basketball Recap: Brayden Hall Key Part of a Team Effort in Bobcats Win

Betsy Layne won the last time they faced Pike County Central and things went their way on Monday too. The Betsy Layne Bobcats came out on top against the Pike County Central Hawks by a score of 70-59.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Betsy Layne to victory, but perhaps none more so than Brayden Hall, who went 9 of 16 on his way to 25 points and five rebounds. The dominant performance gave Hall a new career-high in points. Ethan Lance was another key player, dropping a double-double with 14 points and 12 boards.

Betsy Layne's victory bumped their record up to 12-9. As for Pike County Central, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-8.

Looking ahead, Betsy Layne will head out on the road to challenge Belfry at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Betsy Layne knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 21 contests -- so hopefully Belfry likes a good challenge. As for Pike County Central, they will host Magoffin County at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
