Baseball Recap: Franklin's Win Ends Four-Game Losing Streak at Home

Fans were treated to a battle of the Wildcats on Tuesday. Franklin narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past Bath County 6-4. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest win Franklin has posted since April 13, 2024.

Liam Rebholz and Gregory Pearson did most of the damage at the plate: Rebholz scored a run while going 2-for-4, while Pearson scored a run and stole two bases while going 2-for-3.

Franklin was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .394. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Bath County only posted a batting average of .240.

Franklin's victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-1. As for Bath County, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-6-1.

Looking ahead, Franklin will challenge Jackson County at 3:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Bath County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Casey County at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
