Cleburne has gone a perfect 4-0 against Cedar Hill recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Saturday. The Cleburne Yellowjackets will take on the Cedar Hill Longhorns in a tournament on Saturday. Neither Cleburne nor Cedar Hill posted many runs in their last games, so it might be the pitching crews that decide this one.

Cleburne saw some tournament action on Friday. They took a 6-2 hit to the loss column at the hands of Ryan.

Faith Evans was huge no matter where she played even without the win. She pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and four unearned) runs off five hits. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks every time she's pitched this season. She was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect1-for-1 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was her first of the season.

Evans wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Karma James, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one double.

Meanwhile, Cedar Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight defeat dating back to last season. They came up short against Godley, falling 19-2.

Cedar Hill's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Cleburne, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-2.

Cleburne skirted past Cedar Hill 2-0 in their previous matchup back in February of 2023. Does Cleburne have another victory up their sleeve, or will Cedar Hill turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
