Softball Game Preview: Crimson Cliffs Mustangs vs. Pine View Panthers

For the second straight game, Crimson Cliffs will face off against Pine View. The Mustangs will be playing in front of their home fans against the Panthers at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Crimson Cliffs has three straight victories, Pine View has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Crimson Cliffs' pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They put the hurt on Pine View with a sharp 11-0 win.

The result came thanks to Gracee Stucki's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up 11 Ks.

On the hitting side, Nyah Snyder was incredible, scoring a run while going 3-for-5. The team also got some help courtesy of Isabelle Baird, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 1-for-3.

Snyder wasn't the only one making solid contact: Crimson Cliffs kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 12 hits. That's the most hits they've posted since back in April of 2024.

Crimson Cliffs pushed their record up to 9-10 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Pine View, their loss dropped their record down to 5-15.
