Baseball Recap: Crooms Academy Comes Up Short

After flying high against Holy Cross Lutheran Academy last Tuesday, Crooms Academy came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 7-2 to the Circle Christian Centurions on Thursday. The Panthers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Centurions apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Crooms Academy saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Parker Buckley, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Crooms Academy has also traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last seven matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-8 record this season. As for Circle Christian, the victory snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 4-12 record.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Crooms Academy will welcome Windermere Prep at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Circle Christian, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Lake Mary Prep at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
