The Kennedy Cougars will venture away from home to face off against the Reseda Regents at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Kennedy has seven straight wins, Reseda has 16 straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Diego Montes had another great game (as he tends to do), rushing for 102 yards and one TD on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 133 yards and one touchdown. Kennedy also got a significant boost from Josue Sandoval, who ran away from the competition to the tune of 91 yards.

Another reason for the win was Kennedy's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for five sacks. James Montes was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up two himself. He has been hot recently, having posted at least one sack the last three times he's played. Jacob DaSilva was another major factor on D, picking up a sack and making seven total tackles (4.0 for loss).

Meanwhile, Friday just wasn't the day for Reseda's offense. They took a blow against Sylmar on Friday, falling 42-0.

Kennedy's win bumped their record up to 8-1. As for Reseda, their loss dropped their record down to 0-9.
