The Chavez Titans won the last time they faced the Shafter Generals, and things went their way on Monday too. Chavez enjoyed a cozy 66-50 victory over Shafter.
Shafter lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Nathan Bloemhof, who scored eight points along with two steals. Another player making a difference was Aidan Cardenas, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Chavez's win bumped their record up to 9-14. As for Shafter, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 9-11 record this season.
Chavez will be playing in front of their home fans against McFarland at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. McFarland will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak. As for Shafter, they will head out on the road to take on Taft at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Taft will be looking to keep their three-game home win streak alive.
