After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Mayfield, Geneva was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They blew past the Perry Pirates 5-2. Paxton Galliazzo was a massive factor in the win as he booted in three goals all by himself.
Something new happened on Tuesday as Nathan Opron saw his first action of the season, playing 65 minutes against Perry. Opron made the most of the opportunity, putting up an assist. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.
Geneva's win bumped their record up to 6-4-2. As for Perry, their loss dropped their record down to 2-6-2.
Geneva will challenge West Geauga at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Geneva is facing West Geauga at the right time seeing as West Geauga is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Perry, they will take on Jefferson Area at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
