Softball Recap: Wayne County Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Wayne County can now relate to. They might be feeling deja-vu: they lost 10-0 to the North Pike Jaguars, which was the same score (and result) they got the week prior. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Jaguars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 10-0 on Thursday.

This is the second loss in a row for Wayne County and nudges their season record down to 9-20-1. As for North Pike, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-17 record this season.

Wayne County does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Pike, they will take on East Central at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Hornets' pitching crew has only allowed 2.8 runs per game this season, so the Jaguars' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
