Classical had to endure a ten-game losing streak dating back to last season, but that streak is no more. They came out on top against the Cranston West Falcons by a score of 55-45 on Monday. The Purple's offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Cranston West still got an impressive performance from Kyla Buco, who went 6 of 12 en route to 19 points. That was a full 42.2% of Cranston West's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's posted more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Nicole Silvestri, who scored 11 points and five rebounds.

Classical's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-9. As for Cranston West, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost six of their last eight contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-7 record this season.
