Softball Recap: St. Croix Falls Takes a Loss

St. Croix Falls was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 9-6 to the Spooner Rails. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rails this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-2 back in April.

Emilee Glenna made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 3-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Jocelyn Shimon, who got on base in two of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one run.

St. Croix Falls' defeat dropped their record down to 13-11-1. As for Spooner, the win was the ninth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 17-4.

While St. Croix Falls had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday.
