While Randolph-Henry's victory against Amelia County wasn't quite the blowout it was the last time the pair played, they still came out on top. The Statesmen sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Raiders on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Statesmen have posted against the Raiders since April 13, 2022.

Kendall Snead spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three runs (all of which were unearned) on five hits and racked up six Ks. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Hadleigh Duffer was excellent, going 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that she has snagged this season. Lindsay Locke was another key player, going 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.

Randolph-Henry's win bumped their record up to 3-6. As for Amelia County, their defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 3-2.

Coming up, Randolph-Henry will venture away from home to face off against Appomattox County at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Amelia County, they will welcome Lunenburg Central at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
