Basketball Game Preview: Pasadena Eagles vs. Crosby Cougars

Pasadena is 0-4 against Crosby since November of 2019 but things could change on Friday. The Eagles will look to defend their home court against the Cougars at 7:00 p.m.

Pasadena came up short against Kingwood Park on Friday, falling 43-18. That's two games in a row now that the Eagles have lost by exactly 25 points.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Crosby took on Kingwood Park on Tuesday. The Cougars strolled past the Panthers with points to spare, taking the game 51-33. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Cougars' considerable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 601st, while the Panthers are ranked 1342nd).

The win made it two in a row for Crosby and bumps their season record up to 16-13. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points over those games. As for Pasadena, their loss dropped their record down to 2-21.

Pasadena was dealt a bruising 65-31 defeat at the hands of Crosby when the teams last played on January 6th. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of the Cougars' Airyanna Robertson, who shot 58% from the field to rack up 17 points and five steals.
