Basketball Recap: Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators vs. Baptist Hill Bobcats
This season hasn't been kind to the Lowcountry Leadership NaviGators, who are still winless after their 22nd matchup. They had to suffer through a rough 71-41 loss at the hands of Baptist Hill. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Lowcountry Leadership in their matchups with the Bobcats: they've now lost nine in a row.
Baptist Hill's win on Friday was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Rickey Middleton Jr, who scored seven points along with six rebounds and five steals. Middleton Jr is crushing the steal category: he's posted at least three every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Kyilann Gordon, who scored ten points.
Lowcountry Leadership's defeat was their 18th straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-22. As for Baptist Hill, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-8.
Lowcountry Leadership will head out on the road to challenge the Riptide at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Baptist Hill, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Bulldogs at 8:00 p.m. on February 3rd. Hopefully Burke focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up nine on Friday.
