Cobden fell victim to Trico and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Pioneers, falling 10-0. The loss continues a trend for the Appleknockers in their meetings with the Pioneers: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four matchup, Carrier Mills-Stonefort brought some dynamite into their most recent contest. They blew past Norris City-Omaha-Enfield 10-2 on Thursday. The victory was some much needed relief for the Wildcats as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

Carrier Mills-Stonefort's win bumped their record up to 3-10. As for Cobden, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-7.

Cobden beat Carrier Mills-Stonefort 4-0 in their previous matchup back in May of 2022. Do the Appleknockers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Wildcats turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
