Football Recap: Foresthill Wildfires vs. Mesa Verde Mavericks
After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Sacramento Adventist, Foresthill was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They walked away with a 25-14 win over the Mesa Verde Mavericks. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Wildfires also won the last time the pair played back in September.
Kaylee DeuPree was a one-man wrecking crew for Foresthill as she threw for 250 yards and three touchdowns, and also rushed for 32 yards and a touchdown. Foresthill is 7-2 when DeuPree posts three or more passing touchdowns, but 4-8 otherwise. Foresthill also got help from Liv Grant, who showed off her sure hands for 110 receiving yards.
Foresthill now has a winning record of 11-10. As for Mesa Verde, they now have a losing record at 6-7.
As of now, neither Foresthill nor Mesa Verde have any future games scheduled.
