Baseball Recap: Coolidge Comes Up Short in High-Profile Matchup with Eastern

Coolidge faced Eastern in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Friday. The Colts came up short against the Ramblers, falling 9-3. The Colts have struggled against the Ramblers recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive lost meeting.

Isaac Sanders made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. He has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Darnell Allen also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Coolidge's defeat dropped their record down to 0-10. As for Eastern, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 7-2-1.
