Volleyball Recap: Raeleigh Bower and Mea Alexander Secure Win for Arlington

Arlington won the last time they faced Riverdale and things went their way on Wednesday too. The Red Devils blew past the Falcons 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-18, 25-12, 25-12.

Arlington was led to victory by Mea Alexander and Raeleigh Bower. Alexander had 15 digs and two aces, while Bower had five aces and four digs. Those five aces gave Bower a new career-high. Ellie Marquart also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

They weren't the only good server: Arlington was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They are 3-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

The win got Arlington back to even at 4-4. As for Riverdale, their defeat was their first of the season and makes their record 5-1.

Looking ahead, Arlington is taking a road trip to take on Spencerville at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Riverdale, they will be playing at home against Carey at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Blue Devils will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Falcons surely won't give up without a fight.
