NorthWood wins going away against South Bend St. Joseph

Recap: NorthWood Panthers vs. South Bend St. Joseph Indians

The NorthWood Panthers won the last time they faced the South Bend St. Joseph Indians, and things went their way on Saturday too. NorthWood blew past South Bend St. Joseph 47-21. Given NorthWood's advantage in MaxPreps' Indiana basketball rankings (they are ranked 56th, while South Bend St. Joseph is ranked 227th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

It was another big night for Claire Payne, who dropped a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. She set a new season high mark in blocks with three. Another player making a difference was Haylee Heflin, who scored 12 points.

Despite the loss, South Bend St. Joseph still got an impressive performance from Kenadie Schrock, who scored 11 points. Schrock scored a full 52.4% of South Bend St. Joseph's points, the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points.

NorthWood is on a roll lately: they've won 11 of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season. As for South Bend St. Joseph, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 6-10.
