Elizabeth is 6-1 against Sand Creek since May of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Cardinals will challenge the Scorpions at 3:30 p.m. Elizabeth is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 9.3 runs per game this season.
While Elizabeth didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-13), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They came out on top against Bennett by a score of 11-7 on Saturday. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Cardinals considering their two-run performance the match before.
Brody Aldridge tossed a big game, striking out nine batters over five innings while giving up three earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than seven strikeouts in three consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Joey Dome was a standout: he went 2-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Trevor Bertsch, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 3-for-4.
Elizabeth was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .484. They are a perfect 5-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sand Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Tuesday. They had just enough and edged out The Classical Academy 3-2.
Logan Rockhold made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he struck out six batters over 6.2 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). Rockhold was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two RBI.
Rockhold wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Lucero, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.
Elizabeth's record is now 7-3. As for Sand Creek, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 8-5 record this season.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Elizabeth has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 7.4 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Sand Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 7.7 strikeouts.
