Baseball Recap: Fletcher Takes a Loss

Fletcher was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They came up short against Granite, falling 8-0. The matchup marked the first time this season in which the Wildcats were not able to get on the board.

Fletcher saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Rayce Stoll, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Stoll is becoming a predictor of the Wildcats' success: when he posts at least two stolen bases the team is 3-1 (and 3-6 when he doesn't).

Fletcher now has a losing record of 6-7. As for Granite, they have started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it.

Looking ahead, Fletcher will venture away from home to take on Ninnekah at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Granite does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
