Recap: Shawnee Braves vs. Urbana Hillclimbers

The Shawnee Braves's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their ninth straight loss. They were dealt a 69-26 loss at the hands of Urbana. While losing is never fun, Shawnee can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked 753rd, while Urbana is ranked 169th).

Peyton Mounce was her usual excellent self, shooting 5-for-8 from downtown and dropping a double-double on 40 points and 14 rebounds for Urbana. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mounce has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Alexandra Dixon, who scored nine points along with five steals.

Shawnee bumped their record down to 1-16 with that loss, which was their eighth straight at home. As for Urbana, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten games, which provided a nice bump to their 13-2 record this season.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Shawnee will take on Graham Local at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Graham Local will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak. As for Urbana, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Legacy Christian Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Legacy Christian Academy is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
