Basketball Recap: Pana Has No Trouble Against Central a & M

Pana won against Greenville last Thursday with 46 points and they decided to stick to that point total again on Saturday. The Pana Panthers blew past the Central A & M Raiders 46-26. The matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 29-9.

Joey Laker was nothing short of spectacular: she posted 26 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Delaney Hackler, who scored six points.

The win made it two in a row for Pana and bumps their season record up to 6-7. As for Central A & M, they have been struggling recently as they've lost five of their last six contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season.

Pana and Central A & M could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Illinois Rankings. Pana (ranked 393rd) will meet Carlinville (ranked 144th) at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Central A & M (ranked 557th) will meet Nokomis (ranked 72nd) at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
