Baseball Recap: Wabash Falls Short of Eastern in the Playoffs

Wabash and Eastern squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Wabash had to settle for second. They fell 6-2 to the Comets. The Apaches were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Comets apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2016.

Wabash saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Samuel Harris, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

Wabash moved to 11-15 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. As for Eastern, the victory was the 11th in a row for them, bringing their record up to 25-5.

Wabash does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Eastern, they will face off against Manchester at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. The Comets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Squires have averaged an impressive 7.2 runs per game this season.
