Soccer Game Preview: Marion vs. Virginia High

Marion hasn't had much luck against Virginia High recently, but that could start to change on Thursday. The Scarlet Hurricanes will take on the Bearcats at 4:00 p.m. Neither team made it on the board the last time they hit the pitch, so they've probably got a bit of extra motivation.

Marion is headed into Thursday's game looking for a big change in momentum after dropping their third straight game on Tuesday. They lost 4-1 to Richlands. Things were pretty much settled by the half as Marion were already down 4-0.

Meanwhile, Virginia High unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Tuesday. They came up short against Graham, falling 6-1.

Marion now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Virginia High, their loss dropped their record down to 5-5.

Marion beat Virginia High by a goal in their previous meeting two weeks ago, winning 3-2. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Scarlet Hurricanes since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
