Softball Game Preview: Millennium Tigers vs. Pueblo Warriors

The Millennium Tigers will venture away from home to square off against the Pueblo Warriors at 2:15 p.m. on Friday. Millennium will be strutting in after a victory while Pueblo will be coming in after a defeat.

Millennium will bounce into Friday's match after beating Gilbert, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Millennium sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 7-5 win over Gilbert on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory Millennium has posted since March 30, 2024.

Charlotte McCloskey spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five runs (all of which were unearned) on ten hits.

At the plate, Nayelli Banuelos was a standout: she scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Charlotte Apodaca, who went 3-for-4 with two RBI and one double.

Meanwhile, Pueblo came up short against Arcadia on Thursday, falling 13-3. The Warriors have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pueblo now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Millennium, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
