Baseball Recap: Monday's Loss Ends Bagley's Winning Streak

Bagley dropped their record down to 4-10 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Win-E-Mac Patriots by a score of 10-9. The Flyers were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Patriots apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

Gunner Nolan was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two stolen bases, two runs, and one double. Bagley is 3-1 when Nolan posts two or more runs, but 1-9 otherwise.

As for Win-E-Mac, the win was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 12-3. The victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.2 runs over those games.

On Win-E-Mac's side, Kale Smeby was excellent, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, one run, and one double. Those three RBI gave Smeby a new career-high. Charles Carlson was another key player, getting on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run.

Coming up, Bagley will head out on the road to square off against Laporte at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Win-E-Mac, they have already played their next contest, an 18-4 win against Badger/Greenbush-Middle River on the 19th.
