Basketball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

After flying high against Skyline last Thursday, Hillcrest came back down to earth. The Knights were dealt a 63-36 loss at the hands of the Blackfoot Broncos on Tuesday. The game marked the Knights' lowest-scoring matchup so far this season.

Blackfoot's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Jaci Capson led the charge by going 6-for-10 en route to 17 points. Another player making a difference was Blaklee Ball, who posted nine points and six boards.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 13-10. As for Blackfoot, they are on a roll lately: they've won 14 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-4 record this season.

Hillcrest will be playing at home against Skyline at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Knights will be up against the Grizzlies' rather soft defense (which has allowed 51.29 points per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. Blackfoot does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
