It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hewitt-Trussville had no problem doing just that on Tuesday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with an 8-7 win over the Thompson Warriors. This was a revenge game for the Huskies: when they faced off against the Warriors back in March, they had to take a 8-6 loss.

Hewitt-Trussville has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 31-16-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.8 runs on average over those games. As for Thompson, their defeat ended a ten-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 40-5.

As of now, neither Hewitt-Trussville nor the Warriors have any future games scheduled.
