Basketball Recap: Prairie Valley Comes Up Short

Prairie Valley was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their seventh straight defeat. They took a blow against the Forestburg Longhorns, falling 70-38. The Bulldogs were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 42-18.

Forestburg's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jesus Sanchez, who posted 21 points. Sanchez's evening made it five games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Kyler Willett was another key player, putting up 15 points.

Prairie Valley's loss dropped their record down to 2-14. As for Forestburg, the win (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 17-5.

Prairie Valley will square off against Midway at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Forestburg has already played their next match (against Bellevue), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
