Volleyball Recap: Liberty-Benton Eagles vs. Otsego Knights

After flying high against Paulding last Thursday, Liberty-Benton came back down to earth. The Eagles fell just short of the Otsego Knights by a score of 3-2 on Tuesday. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Knights apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in September of 2019.

Liberty-Benton actually scored more points across those five sets (108-99), but sadly they still had to settle for second. The match finished with set scores of 25-22, 12-25, 25-23, 22-25, 15-13.

Despite the loss, Liberty-Benton still got an impressive performance from Maddy Amstutz, who had 25 digs and two aces. Amstutz has been hot for a while, having posted 12 or more digs the last nine times she's played.
