Mendon Unity dropped their record down to 10-6 on Friday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins. They fell just short of the Liberty Eagles by a score of 2-1. Having soared to a lofty 18 runs in the game before, the Mustangs couldn't push the score so high this time.

Mendon Unity saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Avery Frese, who went 1-for-3 with one run.

As for Liberty, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory they have posted against Mendon Unity since April 6, 2023.
